UQ Sport is seeking an experienced and passionate Junior Sports Supervisor to join our energetic and fun team! This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is dedicated to working with children to gain valuable experience in program development and delivery.
Reporting to the Junior Sports Coordinator, the Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and coordination of junior sport programs including multi-activity holiday programs and school sport programs for UQ Sport to create a safe and actively engaging environment that will maximise participation and meet industry best practice standards.
Duties and responsibilities
You’ll oversee the coordination and delivery of game-sense and sports specific activities to increase involvement of children in junior sport programs.
You’ll ensure the industry best practice standards are maintained by effectively supervising Junior Sport Instructors and ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of activities delivered by external providers.
You’ll successfully maintain a positive profile for UQ Sport in the wider University community including maintaining current relationships with parents/caregivers.
Skills and experience
You’ll have demonstrated experience in the coordination and delivery of sport and recreation programs for children. You are self-motivated, energetic and personable with excellent team and customer service skills.
Your well-developed planning and organisational skills will be crucial to your success. Your exceptional relationship building and communication skills will put you ahead of the rest.
