Learn to Swim Infants Instructor - Part-time
Part-time permanent position located at UQ Aquatic Centre

11 hours per week – Morning and Afternoon Weekday shifts and MUST be available Sunday Morning shift

UQ Sport is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructor (Infants) to join our energetic and fun team! This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone committed to delivering long-term aquatic teaching programs for babies and toddlers. We’re looking for a team player who is passionate about working with children and can support and back their squad when required.
Reporting to the Learn to Swim Coordinator, our Instructors are responsible for providing a consistent customer experience through professionally conducting learn to swim classes as well as ongoing promotion of UQ Sport’s products and services to students, staff alumni and the general public. This opportunity will excite a hardworking and reliable performer.
Duties and responsibilities
This role will see you delivering learn to swim classes for babies and toddlers; providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive profile for UQ Sport in the wider University community. Our supportive working environment will see you grow and develop professionally.
Skills and experience
You’ll have previous experience in delivering learn to swim classes for babies and toddlers. You’re flexible, energetic and personable with all-star communication skills. Your exceptional sportsmanship will see you integrating well within the organisation.
To be successful in this role you must have the following qualifications:
- Austswim or ASTCA Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- Austswim or ASTCA Teacher of Infant and Preschool/Toddler Aquatics
- First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Blue Card
