In addition to our comprehensive Term and School Holiday programs, the UQ Tennis Centre also offers a number of junior tennis tournaments throughout the year, allowing kids to work towards a goal and build confidence during competition-based play.
With three major tournaments each year – including Hot Shots, the UQ Age Tournament and the UQ Sport Australian Money Tournament – your child can test their skills while experiencing the fun and excitement of a competition-based atmosphere. Plus, with a BBQ on offer and St Lucy Café next door, our tournaments are also a lot of fun for the whole family.

Hot Shot Tournaments
Held each term, these tournaments are suitable for anyone enrolled in a Red Ball 2, Orange, Green or Yellow Ball program. Your child will compete against others of a similar age and skill level, allowing them to have fun, develop their skills and gain real match play experience.
UQ Age Tournaments
The UQ Age Tournament is an annual event hosted over four days each January, suitable for participants ranging from 9-16 years. This Gold Series tournament is hosted by Tennis Australia, and attracts top junior players that play at state, national and international levels.
UQ Sport AMTS
AMTs (Australian Money Tournaments) are semi-professional tournaments designed to create quality match play opportunities, and help post-junior players transition to the next level of tennis.
This tournament not only offers a total prize pool of over $2,500 but also allows participants to earn professional ranking points.
