UQ Sport is seeking motivated and enthusiastic casual UQ Can Swim Instructors to join our energetic and fun team! This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone dedicated to delivering excellent aquatic teaching programs, specifically catering to children with disabilities. We’re drafting a team player who can support and back their squad when required. Due to the nature of the role, you must be available to work on Sundays.
Reporting to the Learn to Swim Coordinator, our Instructors are responsible for providing a consistent customer experience through professionally conducting UQ Can Swim classes as well as ongoing promotion of UQ Sport’s products and services to students, staff alumni and the general public. This opportunity will excite a hardworking and reliable performer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will see you delivering UQ Can Swim classes to children with disabilities, whilst providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive profile for UQ Sport in the wider University community. Our supportive working environment will see you grow and develop professionally.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You’ll have previous experience in delivering learn to swim classes for a diverse range of needs in accordance with the Austswim Access & Inclusions qualification. You’re flexible, energetic and personable with all-star communication skills. Your exceptional sportsmanship will see you integrating well within the organisation.
To be successful in this role you must have the following qualifications:
• Austswim or ASTCA Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
• Austswim Teacher of Aquatics – Access and Inclusion
• First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Blue Card
