UQ Powerlifting and Weightlifting Club

Feel the power and give yourself a true test of strength with the UQ Powerlifting and Weightlifting Club (UQPWC). UQPWC has been operating for over 50 years. It is a community-based club where you can learn powerlifting movements (squat, bench press and deadlift and receive instruction on improving general strength or personal fitness.  Our goal is to provide a welcoming training environment with quality equipment and support from experienced lifters and coaches.

If you want to learn how to get stronger -  you’ve come to the right place. Our fully equipped gym has squat racks, Olympic bars and weights, glute ham raise machine, calf raise machine, lat pulldown machine and a range of Dumbbells up to 60kg. It is located at Acacia Park along Carmody Road, a short walk from UQ. 

Due to the timber floor in the venue, the club is not able to provide weightlifting coaching.
