Want to have fun and keep fit, without paying a cent? 

We know you always meant to sign up for that gym membership, and always intended on gathering a team for social sport, but all that planning, paying and actually performing is hard work. And let’s be real…uni is hard enough as it is!

Stress less, rally your mates and rock up to the Fun & Games program, a FREE, students-only sports program, serving up a new sport each week to play at your own pace.

There’s old favourites like Touch Football, Soccer and Beach Volleyball on offer, but we’re also expanding your sporting horizons with offbeat games like Footvolley, Tchoukball and Brännboll making their UQ Sport debut.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an exercise expert, or a basic bustler, we won’t be keeping score. We’re tossing the competitive plays out the window, and focusing on enjoyment and getting you moving!

Want to get involved? Simply rock up in your active wear, bring your student ID card and you’re ready to rumble.

Competition Info

There’s no shortage of Fun & Games, with the calendar of activities changing up weekly.

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 3pm we’ll set up for a new activity for you and your mates to come and play your way. Make sure to check the schedule below for what’s on offer each week.

Once a month we’ll host Saturday afternoon lawn bowls at the St Lucia Bowls Club, for a casual game of Jack Attack – the fast-paced cousin of bowls sure to keep you on your toes.

And on Wednesdays we wear pink – uh, we mean, we do yoga. We’ve teamed up with UQ’s Student Services to help you clear your mind, de-stress and regain focus. To attend Mindfulness Yoga, simply register through Student Services.


It’s all fun and games until exam season rolls around…

When the pressure gets real, we’ll bring you stress relief to help you get your study on, with Mindfulness and Martial Arts. Be sure to check back during SWOTVAC and exam period, as our regular schedule will be replaced with daily activities, like BodyBalance, Kickboxing and guided meditation.
