Intervarsity Sport

UQ Sport is committed to providing opportunities for UQ students and sporting club members to compete against other universities at recreational, competitive and elite levels.

Inter-varsity events may be organised by UQ Sport, other universities, or by Australian University Sport (AUS), the peak governing body of university sport in Australia.

AUS in conjunction with state and national sporting organisations manage and deliver national and international sporting programs covering over 40 sports for current students. A highlight on the university sporting calendar is the Nationals Div 1 and 2 (formerly Uni Games).

Closer to home, the Varsity Clubs Clash is a not-to-be-missed annual battle between clubs from UQ and QUT sport.
