Dodgeball* (Mixed) 3.30pm Healthstream, QUT Kelvin Grove

*This denotes sports that will be contested as “recreation” sports, and as such a half-point is awarded to the winning universities tally for the day. Refer to the Points Structure below.

Points Structure & Eligibility

Teams in the following sports must comprise of student, club members only. One (1) point will be awarded to the winning university in the following sports:​

  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Athletics
  • Baseball

Boxing will be contested over multiple bouts (weight classes and gender). One (1) point will be awarded to the university that wins the most matches.

For athletics, the VCC will be held as a sub-event within the QA Garry Brown Shield. The top 3 across the line in each event from each uni scpore points 10, 8, 6, 4 etc. The winning university will have accrued the most points at the end of the meet. 

Teams in the following sports can comprise of both students and alumni. Half a point will be awarded to the winning university in the following sports:

  • Cricket
  • Dodgeball
  • Volleyball
  • Water Polo

Tie Procedure

In the event a match ends in a draw, the following rules apply:

BASKETBALL – If scores are level at full-time, a three (3) minute extra-time interval will be played. If scores remain tied, three-minute extra-time intervals (separated by a one (1) minute break) will continue until a winner prevails.

DODGEBALL – Golden Point extra-time.

BASEBALL – Game played until such a time as a result is determined at the conclusion of even innings.
