- If you are a non-Member, you may participate by purchasing a Casual Group Fitness Pass. Please note, Pass holders will only be permitted to participate if there is space available. To avoid disappointment, we recommend calling ahead of your preferred session time to ask if there is likely to be spaces available.

- Competitive Swim Squad participants must check-in by presenting their Membership card at the Fitness Centre reception desk. Strength & Conditioning Pass holders are also required to check-in with reception staff.
- All other participants must check-in by scanning the UQ Sport QR Code at the Fitness Centre reception desk.
- Participants should only arrive for the session close to the start time to avoid unnecessary queuing. Participants must not queue in the stairwell outside the Strength & Conditioning Gym.

- On arrival at the Aquatic Centre, the participant must present their Membership card to be scanned. Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a guardian in order to check-in. Guardians of children under 15 are permitted to wait for their child to complete their session in a designated area, as directed by UQ Sport staff. Please note, guardians who remain at the Aquatic Centre as a spectator are required to check-in using the QR Code or sign-in sheet.

- Kids and Adults Learn-to-Swim lessons will be held in both the Program and 25m Pools. Please note, the Bubble Club maternity program is suspended until further notice, and free Learn-to-Swim lessons are not currently available for children aged 4-6 months.
- Adult Learn-to-Swim participants are required to login or create a My Account profile prior to registering for the program. Please note, guardians responsible for underage swimmers will be required to complete this step on the participant’s behalf. Once logged-in, please ensure your contact details are up-to-date. - New Learn-to-Swim participants aged between 3-17 years are required to undergo a swimming assessment prior to registering in the program, to ensure the child is enrolled in a level appropriate to their swimming ability. To arrange a swimming assessment, please email swimschool@uqsport.com.au
- Customers can only enrol in Learn-to-Swim programs by visiting or calling the Aquatic Centre. Learn-to-Swim bookings will be placed on hold for a period of seven (7) days, and customers must complete and submit a Direct Debit Request Form to the Aquatic Centre inside the seven (7) day period to confirm the booking. Please note, the Direct Debit Request Form can only be submitted by returning the form in-person at the Aquatic Centre.

- The UQ Sport Athletics Centre is accessible during opening hours by Members (Athletics and Gold) and Casual Track Pass holders. Training Groups, with a prior booking, are also permitted to use the venue.
- During peak times (3pm-7pm, Monday-Friday; 8am-11am, Saturday), users are required to sign-in at the Athletics Centre Check-in Booth – situated in the tunnel on the ground floor of the grandstand – where a wrist band will be issued to wear during your session. During these peak times, track access is not permitted without a wrist band.
- At all other times – including ‘General Access’ periods – users are required to check-in by scanning the UQ Sport QR Code (posters are located on all levels of the Athletics Centre grandstand). Wristbands are not required outside of peak times.
- Fee-paying users may loan athletics equipment at selected times. Please note, equipment can only be loaned by contacting us to make a booking ahead of your training session.
- For safety reasons, bookings are required to use our javelin or discus facilities. Contact us ahead of your visit to confirm whether you are able to perform throws during your training session. Javelin or discus is not permitted without a booking, as prior setup is required to ensure all other facility users remain safe.

- The player responsible for booking the Squash or Badminton Court is required to check-in at the Fitness Centre reception. All other players are required to check-in by scanning the QR code, located at the Fitness Centre reception.
- The Sports Hall can be booked for UQ Sport Club activities only. Sports Hall bookings can only be made once a COVIDSafe Activity Plan has been submitted and approved by UQ Sport. Please note, approved Sports Hall bookings are subject to current COVIDSafe guidelines, as advised by the Queensland Government.
- Adopt the Australian Institute of Sport’s (AIS) ‘Get in, train and get out’ recommendation, and arrive dressed and ready for the session.
- Male and female changing rooms are open at the Fitness Centre. Individual toilets are also open throughout the Fitness Centre, however, they are not to be used as a changing facility.
- Customers with a Squash or Badminton Court booking are required to check-in with UQ Sport staff at the Fitness Centre reception desk, where they will receive a COVIDSafe briefing and have their attendance recorded.
- For Club bookings in the Sports Hall, a Club-appointed COVIDSafe Delegate must check-in with UQ Sport staff at the Fitness Centre reception desk upon arrival. - Participants should only arrive for the booked session close to the start time to avoid unnecessary congregating. For Club bookings, UQ Sport staff may ask participants to wait outside the Fitness Centre for the session to begin.

- Participants must maintain 1.5m physical distancing requirements, and follow the directional signage at all times.
- Spectators are not permitted at this present time.
During & After the Session
- Participants must use hand sanitiser (available at reception desk, and outside the Squash and Badminton Courts) prior to entering and exiting the designated court or playing area.
- Adhere to all venue and directional signage.
- Participants must leave the court or playing area immediately after the session to avoid crowding in the area, and allow UQ Sport staff to carry out cleaning duties. Club participants should exit in a staggered fashion to maintain 1.5m physical distancing.
Before the Session
- The Martial Arts Gym (MAG) may be booked for UQ Sport Club activities only, with an approved COVIDSafe activity plan in place.
- MAG bookings can only be made once a COVIDSafe Activity Plan has been submitted and approved by UQ Sport. Once approval has been granted, MAG bookings can be made by contacting the Fitness Centre. Please note, approved MAG bookings are subject to current COVIDSafe guidelines, as advised by the Queensland Government.
- A Club-appointed COVIDSafe Delegate must check-in with UQ Sport staff at the Fitness Centre reception desk upon arrival. The Club Delegate is required to record the attendance and contact details of each participant, and inform group participants of processes outlined in their COVIDSafe plan, prior to the booked session beginning. They must also complete a Condition Report (in conjunction with UQ Sport staff) before each session.
- Participants should only arrive for the booked session close to the start time to avoid unnecessary congregating. UQ Sport staff may ask Club members to wait outside the Fitness Centre for the session to begin.
- Participants must adopt the Australian Institute of Sport’s (AIS) ‘Get in, train and get out’ recommendation, and arrive dressed and ready to train, and leave immediately after their session.
- Fitness Centre changing rooms are closed, including shower facilities. Individual toilets will be open, however, they are not to be used as a changing facility.
- Participants must maintain 1.5m physical distancing requirements, ensure good hygiene practices are maintained and follow the directional signage at all times.
- Clubs are responsible for the safe and appropriate delivery of the session, in accordance with the approved COVIDSafe Activity Plan. UQ Sport COVIDSafe Delegates will also be on-site if further assistance is required.
- Clubs are required to provide hand sanitiser for participants to use before, during and after the booked session. Additional hand sanitiser is available at the Fitness Centre reception. Clubs are also responsible for disinfecting MAG facilities, in accordance with the approved COVIDSafe Activity Plan.
- The Protection Mat (blue cover) can only be used if approved by UQ Sport at the time of booking.
During & After the Session
- Participants must use hand sanitiser before and after the session.
- Adhere to all venue and directional signage.
- Shoes must be worn when exiting the MAG, and when using Fitness Centre amenities, including toilets.
- Participants must use the transition carpet when moving between the wooden floor and Tatami Mat. Shoes must be removed on the transition carpet before stepping onto the Tatami Mat. Participants should also use the transition carpet to put on shoes prior to stepping onto the wooden floor.
- Skipping ropes are not permitted on the Tatami Mat.
- The Protection Mat (blue cover) must remain unfolded for the duration of the session, and be cleaned, dried and folded away at the completion of the session. Please note, shoes and skipping ropes are not permitted on the Protection Mat.
- The Tatami Mat must be disinfected, and wooden floor spot-cleaned, prior to completion of the session. Blood spots should be spot-cleaned and reported to UQ Sport staff.
- The MAG must be left in the same condition as it was prior to the beginning of the booking. UQ Sport staff will complete a Condition Report at the completion of the session, in conjunction with the ensuing hirer.
- Participants must leave the MAG immediately after the session to avoid crowding in the area. Please follow the directional signage via the alternate exit point, opposite the main entry point. There should be no socialising before or after sessions.
Before Your Session
- Playing Fields may be booked for group activities by both the general public, as well as the UQ community and UQ Sport Clubs, with an approved COVIDSafe activity plan in-place.
- Field bookings will only be confirmed once a COVIDSafe Activity Plan has been submitted and approved by UQ Sport. Approved Field bookings are subject to current COVIDSafe guidelines, as advised by the Queensland Government.
- A group-appointed COVIDSafe Delegate must record the attendance and contact details of each participant and inform group participants of processes outlined in their COVIDSafe plan prior to the booked session beginning. A UQ Sport delegate will check-in with the group-appointed COVIDSafe Delegate to ensure this process has been completed.
- Participants must adopt the Australian Institute of Sport’s (AIS) ‘Get in, train and get out’ recommendation, and arrive dressed and ready to train, and leave immediately after their session.
- Selected changing rooms across UQ Sport venues are open. If you require change rooms for your booking, please advise the UQ Sport bookings team by emailing bookings@uqsport.com.au.

Outdoor courts across the St Lucia campus are now accessible for public use. Patrons using outdoor courts must adhere to physical distancing requirements, as imposed by the Queensland Government.
Bookings may be required for some outdoor courts (see venue signage).
- Participants should only arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled game time to avoid unnecessary congregating.
- Participants and spectators must maintain 1.5m physical distancing requirements when not on the playing field or court.

- Gatton Group Fitness classcapacities vary and range between a maximum of 18-30.
- All Access Members may book-in for a Group Fitness class by logging-in via My Account. Once logged in, click on the ‘Group Fitness’ tab and select your preferred class and session time to check-in. On arrival at the Fitness Centre, see reception staff and present the entry ticket on your smartphone, or your Membership Access Card. Please note, online bookings will open 12 hours before the scheduled session.
- If you are a non-Member, you may participate by purchasing a Casual Group Fitness Pass. Please note, Pass holders will only be permitted to participate if there is space available. To avoid disappointment, we recommend calling ahead of your preferred session time to ask if there is likely to be spaces available.

- Leave all workout equipment at your workout station. UQ Sport staff will clean and sanitise the equipment after your class.
- Participants will be required to exit in a staggered fashion to maintain 1.5m physical distancing. Please follow the directions of your UQ Sport Group Fitness Instructor.
- Exit via the brown doors, as directed. UQ Sport staff will record your departure.
