The UQ Sport Athletics Centre is one of Queensland’s premier track and field venues! Highlighted by an impressive 560-seat grandstand, the Centre boasts an eight lane synthetic track, as well as runways, pits, cages and circles to stage your field events.
The Athletics Centre regularly hosts Gold, Silver or Bronze-label events – including the famed 1500m Classic, with more than 20 events for school-age, masters, race walking, and elite-level competitions.
At the top of the 560- seat grandstand and overlooking the Athletics Track is The Meeting Place – a 120m² fully equipped meeting room and function space with kitchen facilities. Within the athletics track is Field 7 – our premier Rugby playing field, home of the UQ Rugby Football Club.
