Make a splash at one of the best swimming facilities in Brisbane! The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre in St Lucia has three heated swimming pools: a 50m Olympic-sized pool, a 25m pool and a shallow Program Pool used for Learn-to-Swim lessons and infant swimming. On a daily basis, we provide a range of activities, including Learn-to-Swim lessons, squads and training facilities for several UQ Sport Clubs. It doesn’t matter whether you’re at doggy paddle stage or if you’re pretty much a fish in the water, we have swimming options for all ability levels!

You’ll find plenty of space to sit and relax at the Aquatic Centre too! There is deck-side seating, as well as landscaped grassed areas throughout the Centre. Wi-Fi is available for when you want to just chill, excellent barista coffee at the café, and a Pro Shop with a great range of swimwear, goggles, fins and swimming equipment.

For parents and little ones, we have a family-safe area with bean bags and seating where you can occupy siblings.  Please note that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Under 5’s need to be within arm’s reach, and older kids under adult supervision with an adult ready to jump into the pool if required.
