Make a splash at one of the best swimming facilities in Brisbane! The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre in St Lucia boasts three heated pools: a 50m Olympic-sized pool, a brand new 25m pool – opened in June, 2017 – and a dedicated Program Pool for Kids Learn-to-Swim classes. On a daily basis, we provide a range of activities, including Learn-to-Swim lessons, squads and training facilities for several UQ Sport Clubs. It doesn’t matter whether you’re at doggy paddle stage or if you’re pretty much a fish in the water, we have swimming options for all ability levels!
You’ll find plenty of space to sit and relax at the Aquatic Centre, too! There’s deck-side bleacher seating, as well as landscaped grassed areas throughout the Centre. There’s also Wi-Fi available for when you want to just chill at the café.
At all times, a minimum of four 50m lanes (or the equivalent between both the 25m and 50m Pools) will be available for lap swimming.
