The 1500m Classic is a competitive middle-distance race hosted at The University of Queensland since 2004. The event is recognised as a World Athletics Permit Meet.
The race draws junior athletes, university students, elite competitors and spectators to the UQ Sport Athletics Centre for an unforgettable night of racing. The event features only 1500m races ranging from a 1500m race walk to school age events, and the headlined Men’s and Women’s Classic events.

The competition entry fee is $29.
UQ Sport reinvests all profits into services, facilities, and programs, and is supported by funding from the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) to benefit UQ students.
