Through our partnership with UQ’s School of Human Movement Studies, we provide first-class sports science testing and analysis services to athletes, teams and coaches.
Our services, delivered by highly qualified staff, include both field and laboratory testing, and are customisable to suit individual or group needs.

VO2 Max and Lactate Threshold Testing
The VO2max & Lactate Threshold Test is the gold standard for measuring VO2max, lactate threshold variables, and determining your individualised heart rate training zones which feed into your everyday training.
This test measures an individual’s ability to transport and utilise oxygen during exercise and can be used to make recommendations for training direction or monitor improvements from a block of training. We use blood lactate measurements to accurately determine your lactate threshold and training zones so you can take the guesswork out of your training and maximise your results.
This test will last for 20-minutes, however the appointment will be for 1-hour and we can test on either a treadmill or stationary bike for running or cycling specific results.
Metabolic Efficiency Test
The Metabolic Efficiency Test does measures everything that the VO2max & Lactate Threshold Test, however you also receive extra information on the fuel burning strategy of your body during exercise.
This test can determine the effectiveness of a training or diet plan on fat burning ability, and is often used by endurance athletes to pin point their low heart rate, high fat metabolism training. You will receive your VO2max, lactate threshold variables, training zones, along with your cross-over point (when your body switches from fat dominant to carbohydrate dominant), FATmax score (the intensity that your body is metabolising fat at the greatest rate), along with your caloric expenditure of fat vs carbs at different intensities which can aid in informing your fuelling strategy for training and racing.
This test will last for 40-minutes, however the appointment will be for 1.5-hours and we can test on either a treadmill or stationary bike for running or cycling specific results.
