Combined VO2 Max & Anaerobic Threshold Testing
A VO2 Max test helps determine an individual’s cardiovascular capacity by assessing how efficiently oxygen is transported to working muscles during endurance exercise. This test can be used to monitor the effectiveness of an athlete’s training program, and assists in making recommendations that’ll help maximise the athlete’s performance. VO2 Max can be determined during running, cycling or rowing.
We use a lactate test to measure an individual’s anaerobic threshold. The lactate test allows individuals to take all of the guesswork out of their training. It allows athletes to understand their limits and get the most out of their performance before reaching anaerobic threshold during endurance events.
The combined option is the UQ Sport Academy’s own test which includes both VO2 Max and anaerobic threshold testing. This unique test combines the benefits from both testing methods.
