Hockey has a proud century-old history at The University of Queensland, with the UQ Hockey Club (UQHC) first formed in 1912. Today, UQHC has grown to be one of Brisbane’s biggest and strongest hockey clubs, fielding an array of male and female teams at junior, seniors and masters levels.
UQ Hockey Club’s home turf, the $24 million UQ Synthetic Fields Precinct, also plays host to UQ Sport’s Social 6-a-Side Hockey competition, as well as fiercely contested Women’s College Hockey!
If that’s not enough Hockey for you, Team UQ also competes at both Nationals Div 1 & 2 events – pitting UQ students against Australia’s best university athletes!
