Gatton social Indoor netball FAQ

What is the maximum number of players allowed on a team?

There’s no limit to how many players you can have in one team. However, we recommend you have no more than 10 players in your team as only 10 medals are allocated to winners of Grand Finals.

How old do I have to be to play?

You must be at least 16 years old to play. Team captains must be 18 years or older.

I’ve just enrolled as an individual. What do I have to do now?

You don’t have to do anything! When you enrol as an individual, we’ll sort you into a team once enrolments close and send you an email that provides you with details of your team.

My friend and I just enrolled as individuals. Can we play in the same team?

Sure can! Just get in touch and let us know your names and we’ll make a note in our system to make sure you’re in the same team once enrolments close.

Will games be played on Public Holidays and during Semester breaks?

No, we don’t schedule games on Public Holidays, or during Semester breaks.

Are there grading weeks at the start of the season?

If you are in a league with 11 or more teams, the first three (3) weeks of your season will be grading weeks. After this period, we’ll put teams into divisions and then the next four (4) weeks will consist of regular season games. The final three (3) weeks of the competition will be Finals.

If you are in a league with 10 teams or less, there is no grading period. Weeks 1-7 will consist of regular season games and weeks 8-10 will be Finals.

Is my team able to change the division we’re in?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to change the division a team is in once grading is completed.

When will the fixtures be released?

Our Social Sport team accommodate over 300 teams across a number of different sports. Our aim, as always, is to release the first three rounds of fixtures one week before your competition begins. Sometimes this is not possible, so if you do not receive them one week before the competition begins, please don’t panic! You will be notified in due time.

My question hasn’t been answered. Where can I get further information?
