UQ Sport Gatton is home to three picturesque playing fields, capable of hosting an array of sporting activities – from cricket to touch footy!
The historic Tom Graham Oval – featuring a striking picket fence boundary – is our much-loved cricket ground! In 1986, the venue hosted England’s Test cricket team in a tour match against South- East Queensland Country – a game which saw former England skipper Allan Lamb score 111 not-out.
The Hugh Courtney Oval boasts a top-quality rugby pitch, and is the home ground of the Gatton Black Pigs Rugby Union Football Club. Nearby, you’ll find the Ray McNamara Oval, which is divided into two rectangular pitches and suitable for games of rugby, touch football, ultimate disc and more.
