The University of Queensland (UQ) had over 300 students representing UQ in 41 different teams, playing 23 different sports at the 2025 UniSport Nationals on the Gold Coast.
UQ was crowned North Region Overall winners thanks to the following champion results:
- Mixed Touch Football – Champions
- Mixed Beach Volleyball – Champions
- Open Lawn Bowls – Champions
- Men’s Cycling – Champions
- Women’s Hockey – Champions
- Overall Surfing – Champions
The UQ Spirit was proudly on display at the Gold Coast. UQ was awarded the Ron Leahy Trophy – North Spirit Champion and the John White Spirit Champion University.
Elite Athlete Eve Gath represented UQ in Water Polo and as overall UQ co-captain with Aiden Summerfield, she proudly acknowledged the Spirit Trophy: “We all put work into showing up for each other at all the sports and also make sure we bring the spirit for all the universities, not just UQ.”
