Spring Meet Series

The UQ Athletic Centre is pleased to announce the UQ Sport Spring Athletic Meet Series for 2018.  The seven Meet Series will incorporate two highly successful annual events – the ‘School Holidays All Comers Meets’ in September / October and the ‘1500 metre Classic’ in November.

The Spring Meet Series is open to any athletes age 12 years and over. It is anticipated the Meet Series will cater for school age athletes preparing for District, Regional and State championships and University athletes preparing for the University Games.  However, it is not restricted to these athletes only. These meets are a good opportunity for Open athletes to assess their winter training progress.

All athletes competing in Meets One to Four and Meet Seven must be registered with Queensland Athletics*.  Athletes who wish to compete and are not registered with Queensland Athletics, should first register with Queensland Athletics, at least as a Base Member, at $10, and then they are able to lodge an entry for the meet.

All Meets are sanctioned by Queensland Athletics. Meet One to Four are State Permit Meets; Meet Five and Six are Club Permit Meets; and Meet Seven is a National Permit Meet.

Please check the QLD Athletics web site for clarification as to Meet’s classification.
