The UQ Aikido Club is a proud member of the Aikido Kokikai family. Aikido Kokikai is taught in accordance with the principles developed by our founder and president, Shuji Maruyama Sensei.
Aikido training is a great way to improve all elements of your life. Combine a gentle approach to physical fitness with a deep sense of wellbeing to strive for self-control, self-esteem and self-defence.
You’ll be encouraged to progress at your own pace and train to the best of your ability. The non-competitive, non-aggressive nature of aikido training makes it suitable for all ages and body types.
