CARDIO TENNIS

UQ Sport Tennis Centre

Try your hand at Cardio Tennis this semester - an hour-long fitness workout to music that can help women burn up to 500 calories, and as many as 800 calories for men!

Free racquet hire is included, subject to availability. Check-in with staff at the UQ Sport Tennis Centre reception desk on arrival.

UQ Sport Aquatics Centre

Dive in for a swim at the UQ Sport Aquatic Centre at St Lucia, Monday to Friday during Come & Try. Bring your togs and goggles for a dip between 10am and 2pm – just remember to sign-in with reception staff on arrival.

FREE REC SPORT: BUBBLE SOCCER

Field 5

Forget the World Cup, Bubble Soccer is the way to roll! Part field sport, part inflatable fun, Bubble Soccer is exactly what it sounds like – soccer played in giant inflatable bubbles. Between bouncing off bodies and spinning from goal to goal, your aim is to work with your team to score despite the field of mini-blimps. Bounce to the beat of your own balloon when you come and try this sport for free at our regular Rec Sport program!

GENTLE YOGA

UQ Sport Fitness Centre

Gentle Yoga is a calming, slow and flowing style of yoga that emphasises breathing and relaxation techniques while improving muscle strength and control, posture, balance, flexibility, and mental awareness. Suitable for all ages and for those with no previous yoga experience.

OUTDOOR YOGA

Field 5

Heal from the inside out with a breath of fresh air at Outdoor Yoga! Exhale daily stress and inhale health as you rest and regroup in this slow and steady flow. Once you give it a try on Monday 30 July at the UQ Synthetic Fields, you'll want to keep coming back every week, with Outdoor Yoga being offered every Monday morning from 7:45am throughout the semester with UQ Sport's free Rec Sport program.

Our team of coaches will tailor their program to suit your skill level, from wading through the basics to gliding into first place. Bring your togs and goggles throughout the day to take a dip – just make sure you say hi to the reception staff when you arrive.

This class is the perfect way to tone, firm and tighten all parts of the body. The workout consists of cardio and toning exercises to target your legs, arms and core. Tone will challenge seasoned participants as well as motivate beginners to reach their peak performance.
