It’s the nails-on-a-chalkboard whine we’ve all heard before. “Mummeeeeee I wanna play one more gaaaammmeeeee! I don’t wanna go outsiiiide!” Unplugging your kids from the technicolour screen is asking for a temper tantrum, but not disconnecting your little ones for at least one hour of moderate activity per day could result in weak muscles, self-doubt and the attention span of a goldfish.

For all of his 19 years, Raghoo has been challenging what is considered the norm. Born with Cerebral Palsy (CP), a motor impairment disorder that affects movement and posture, Raghoo was given little chance at life, let alone qualifying for the Paralympics.

UQ students, as well as members of Australia’s Rio 2016 gold medal-winning women’s rugby sevens squad, will represent Team UQ in the inaugural AON Women’s Uni Sevens Series. The competition, developed by the Australian Rugby Union (ARU), will feature eight universities representing five states and territories.
